Last seconds play by Baylor - Foul or no foul on this shot?
fuck the refs
Play on. That’s because the shooter let go of the ball before the horn sounded & the defense recovered the ball even though it didn’t hit the rim
Can screener set a screen on your blind side but you cant even turn and hes already contacting you ?
Blind screens mean you have to give a step even if you have not made contact.
I would have kissed her boo boo no matter where it was.❤
No foul. Technically, the hand is part of the ball and legal to contact. Excellent no call but I’ll bet this gets called a shooting foul more often than not.
If you play 1 on 1 a lot you know how hard it is to play against hand checking player who stop your driving single handedly. You end up shooting jumper and it's easier to get blocked. It's just so fucking frustrating defensive player stay in from of you just because they can use their hand to stay in position.
The next play💀
It is a travel but will never be called!
Hell why don't they just go to opposite ends of court and shoot and see who makes the most. That'll be the winner. NFL probably becoming flag football in the future
It takes ALOT for Roy to get this heated. The refs leading up to it had to be awful
Common foul. Flagrant fouls should not even exist.
I have a really bad ankle sprain and loss of feeling I'm my right foot because of a foul like this
So here's what I got, I've got a personal foul in the St. John's player, he wasn't excessive or malicious, and I don't think it warranted a flagrant foul. After the play, and in the dead ball situation, I have fighting fouls on 24th from Georgetown and 42 from Georgetown, and they're both gone. Gone. I have double technicals on both coaches, and they're both gone. I think that about covers it.
It is a flagrant 1 foul because the defender makes no play on the ball. It is not about the violence of the foul, but the actions that lead to the foul. So that part cannot be ignored. Now I do not have anyone ejected either. Just give Ts and move on. No punches and just people getting in the face of others.
Announcers are on drugs - that was a perfect call. The only movement by the defender was to lean BACKWARDS to minimize impact. Get some better weed fellas.
its not an offensive!!!!
Good call!!
Make hand checking legal again in the NBA
this is bullshit.. ya all too soft
hi - what is X0Sdigitalsports?
Bob Knight is lovin this intensity up in heaven! 😂
That was smart basketball by the Georgia player
Worst rule change in basketball. Basically gives the offense a 1 - 2 step head start. Now add in the ticky tack application of foul calls by the ref, and it's just a dunk contest with a few passes and whistles blown. The hand check rule went way too far. It would be like, in the era of everyone hitting so many 3 pointers, they allowed goaltending again.
You mean you cannot move your feet or take away things that a player might do well? OK. I think people like scoring in the 80s, not scoring in the 20s and 30s. And you do not have to foul, you can move your feet or take away a player's strong hand. But to each his own. More people are watching now than they did before.
You just don't know how limiting the hand check is. If hand check is allowed then offensive player should be able to use their off hand. I wonder how long they can keep their cool. If you want to drive against hand checking player you have to be prepared bulldoze the other player with all your might.
Happens way to much to great defense. Glad it’s starting to get called.
Did they catch the idiot that threw it and ban them for the rest of the season?
indeed great call, but unfortunately, it would legal in the NBA, ask adam silver and the steve kerr warriors
That's not a foul. Let me clarify, it wasn't a foul for the longest time and then David Stern and Adam Silver destroyed basketball creating the flopping clown show / defensive straightjacket sports league in the world. Basketball allows for contact so long as the contact does not forcibly move a player off their established position or path. Literally all fouls come back to this concept with the exception of a Technical. Keeping this in mind, if an offensive player, dribbling, bends the off arm at 90 to shield the ball from the defender he is within his right to do so. He is also allowed to maintain consistent contact with his defender, however if the bent arm is used in a way that changes the defenders established position (where he is standing) on the court by raising from the shoulder or straightening of the arm it's an offensive foul. Hand checking is the defensive equivalent, if the defensive player moves the offensive player (foul: PUSH) or restricts his movement (foul: BLOCK or REACH). Those fouls were called consistently but just like MLB chasing more homeruns for more fans, NBA is chasing higher scoring games like the Harlem Globe Trotters doesn't exist.
This has nothing to do with David Stern. This is a college game and this has been illegal for well over 15 years now.
So basically i should go to an awsy game, throw stuff. Eject and ban fan...no technical warranted, has nothing to do with players/coaches
Right call...but basketball is an emotional game. Ref is basically saying im beimg a tattle tell...he threw his jacket...who cares
Right call...but basketball is an emotional game. Ref is basically saying im beimg a tattle tell...he through his jacket...who cares
Yall act like hand checking doesn't still happen lol dudes back in the day couldn't keep up with current dudes athletically or skill wise
It’s 100% a charge. Although the defense is not airborne, that does not matter as long as the defense has already established LGP prior to the offensive contact. He could have have jumped straight up to contest the shot and it still would have been a charge.
How is this a touch back? Regardless if the receiver had the ball cross the line in the first place, they DID then move the ball out of the end zone and into the field of play, which means the touch back gate should have been closed the moment they did that.
I don't get it I know they remove hand checking to make offensive player more versatile and score more. But how come offensive player can swipe a defenders arm, push away after a crossover with their hands or elbow. like that just so unfair.
What happened first? That is all that matters. He did not have swipe something that was not on him.
The defender is not allowed to put his hand on the dribbler in the first place. By knocking the defender's arm away over and over again, he was forcing to referee to eventually acknowledge that the defender was committing a foul with the incessant hand checking/jabbing. That was smart basketball by the Georgia player.
I did notice earlier in one of the replays he did signal for a fair catch.
Foul but in league ball it is never called
Thing's a Terrible wig will get you...
That was the fault of the guy dribbling the ball. He didn't give his guy time to set
None of the fouls seemed intentional, I would have warned both players after the second incident. After the second one could make a case for intentional foul because the defensive player looks to be fouling on purpose
I dont like her. But she got hurt. She Could have lost an eye. Not funny. Who was he throwing to? If not at her? I think the man did say look out! Shes slow to react . Lookstgen drilled. She doesnt exept cheap shot from behind. The man is not athletc type. His hads are full. And its a bb
Pam Oliver, WHAM!
That's why lebron can easily score they remove that rule
Lebron has nothing to do with this play. This is college.
@@OfficiatingBornVideos yeah that rule is in nba as well and its my own opinion which is we can't deny it's true he can't surpass kareem if they didn't changed the game
@@vitocorleone6436: I am aware. And this is an officiating page, not one talking about specific players and what they can or cannot do in the NBA. Don't care what Kareem or Lebron can do in this context. This is only about this rule and that is it.
@@vitocorleone6436 he'd still be scoring high
@@OfficiatingBornVideosNBA got rid of hand checking as well.
I’m all for hand-checks on defense. That being said, defenders shouldn’t complain about offensive players using their off-arm to swipe away hand-checks.
It is not about who is mad, the point is they want defenders to use their feet and allow the dribbler to move without being impeded by their hands. And then the defenders do not have to complain either that the ball handler took their hand or held their hand (which happens sometimes). Bottom line, they do not want to influence scoring negatively. Many of the rules have been put in place to allow for more possible scoring.
Today in pickup someone just grabbed my arm and pushed it down when I was hand checking
I used to go for the wrist when defenders hand checked me in high school. It's tough to shoot with a sore wrist. The defender would think twice before hand checking next time
Them I am all for offensive player using their off hand however they like short of punching.
Not a back court violation. No team control.
Wouldn't this mean that the fouled player only will take 2 shots instead of 3? Could this be exploited?
On a missed Flagrant 1 and Intentional Foul that was on a 3 point shot (the shooter fouled), then it is 3 shots to be taken. If the shot was made it would be 2 free throws taken. So it cannot be exploited as you give them a foul during them shooting the ball.
Clean tackle.
Just remember Higgins excuse in an interview about his UK/Unc elite 8 performance was that the fouls were even....so is he admitting he was bad in this game 30+ to 2 free throws? Or does he think everyone is stupid
The amount of people that do this nowadays is sad. I got done like this every play. That's an illegal move. And a small player it is not okay. I don't mind if somebody blow by me but to hook me is a bullshit move.
I think that was a no call, personally But I'm older school apparently. "If they want to be ballerinas let them be ballerinas." - Pat Riley
It's a travel cause he slides both feet , doesn't have a pivot
The announcer should know the rule. Can't trip a player in a loose ball situation.
I really don't understand why some refs don't call this a travel.
